You may remember seeing my Typography styled shoot featured on Green Wedding Shoes a few weeks ago. I’ve got loads more photos and details to share with you!
The photoshoot’s theme was a modern typographical take on romantic quotes from literature. Several were chosen but the one that stood out the most for us was by Vladimir Nabokov from Lolita, ““It was love at first sight, at last sight, at ever and ever sight.” Swoon. Copperwillow Studio created gorgeous letterpress pieces that inspired the design of the rest of the shoot.

Beane and Co. created a one of a kind gown for the shoot! It featured a bodice made up of pleated paper (yes, paper), a peau de soie skirt and layers of black and white tulle topped off with a dramatic bow. They also hand beaded the ampersand headpiece. Love!
To modernize the feel of the shoot even more, I chose a color palette of bright, almost neon colors. Gilly Flowers did a phenomenal job bringing my vision to life! I especially loved the vintage typewriter keys we found that spelled out “L-O-V-E” on the handle.
One of the most amazing details of the shoot were the large quotation marks made up of flowers. Gilly is a genius.
Last but not least was the nine cake display by Superfine Bakery. I couldn’t think of a better designer to have executed this take on the modern monogram. Every lovely flower that you see is completely made from sugar!
